The woodland extends to about 2.14 acres (0.866ha) and leads down to a babbling brook along the northern side.  

Situation
The woodland is situated to the south of Cowes and a short walk from the River Medina and just metres from the Cowes to Newport Cycle Track. The woodland slopes gently downwards to the north and offers a good selection of mixed species of trees and shrubs. To the south of the subject land is lovely rural countryside.

The woodland is around a 15-20 minute walk from central Cowes which offers mainland ferry connections with West Cowes (2 miles), East Cowes (6 miles), Fishbourne (8 miles) and Ryde (14 miles). The country town of Newport is 6 miles away.
