PET POLICY

"In the event that an agreement is made between tenant and landlord, either prior to or during a tenancy, that the tenant may keep a pet or pets at the property during a tenancy, please note and consider that an additional sum of rent equal to £25.00 per pet, per month will be payable for the duration of the tenancy and in addition to the advertised or agreed sum of rent. Should consent to keep a pet or any additional pet be sought and agreed during a tenancy, the tenant will have requested a change of the terms of the tenancy and the tenant will be charged by Hose Rhodes Dickson £50.00 including VAT for the work required to amend the tenancy agreement."

Wroxall Parish Council was formed in 1984; before then the village was a ward of Ventnor. There is a local shop, incorporating a post office, Wroxall Primary School, an active community centre and The Star pub that can be the starting or finishing points for glorious walks to or from Ventnor, Shanklin, Whitwell or Godshill.

Farming still goes on around Wroxall, but the community is diversified with commuters travelling daily to and from Ventnor, Shanklin and Newport, retired residents and others who work in some of the small enterprises found in the village. A new primary school was built in 1986. The railway closed in 1966, so today we rely on Southern Vectis bus route 3 (Newport-Wroxall-Ventnor-Shanklin-Ryde) which operates half-hourly through most of the day. Visitors come to Appuldurcombe House to see Capability Brown's ornamental gardens. Just north of the village is the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.
