The ‘Fox’ name has been associated with estate agency since 1868, when Anthony Stoddart Fox opened a branch of Fox and Sons in Bournemouth. Over the next century, Fox and Sons expanded over the whole of the south of England and in the mid 1980’s came to the Isle of Wight, merging with Philip Wright and Co.
Fox and Sons were an immediate success on the Isle of Wight and soon became a name that both buyers and sellers could trust. In 2001, Simon Wratten, the Fox and Sons area manager for the Isle of Wight, made a bid to buy the island offices, and Fox Property was born.
Fox Property are now an independently owned company, and Simon Wratten remains at the fore front of the business, working out of the Ryde branch, along with fellow director Rachael Harvey, who bought into the business in 2006.
The Cowes branch of Fox Property is managed by Anna Carey, who has been with the company for many years. Anna lives in Cowes and is very well known within the community. The Newport branch of Fox Property is managed by Martin Davies, who joined the company in 2005, having previously worked for another island agent. Martin is articulate and professional in his approach.
Despite being an independent island agent, Fox Property have maintained links with Fox and Sons and the Fox name continues to be a name that brings people and property together.
