Description
Originally part of the Osborne House estate, Brickfield Cottages were built by Prince Albert for the managers of the estates Brickworks where they lived with their families. Built to compliment the estate, the properties were built to a high standard and offer a fascinating level of detail within the build, thus making this a very pretty and charming home.
This end of terrace home sits within the largest plot of just three properties and boasts the largest garden in the terrace. Beautiful mature landscaped gardens offer a great and varied variety of flowers with lawned and patio areas. There are also two garages, a workshop and store and a modern static mobile home.
This is a perfect location for those looking for the best of both worlds. An ideal area to dust off the cobwebs and enjoy a walk with the dog admiring the pretty village and neighbouring countryside. This area offers a choice of bridle path and waterside walks along with a wide choice of amenities including the ever popular 'Folly Inn' and marine side fine dining can also be found at the upmarket Breeze Harbour.
Ground floor accommodation comprises of formal reception room, kitchen/breakfast and conservatory supported by two bedrooms and family shower room on the first floor.
All in all, if you are looking for a balanced lifestyle between the peace and tranquillity offered at this family home and the vast array of things to do and places to go near and around it then we truly believe this could be the one for you!
OWNERS COMMENTS
Brickfield Cottages has been a wonderful family home for our late father for the past 20 years. He thoroughly enjoyed all the peace and serenity the property and it's garden has to offer. The house is so full of character with original features and it's royal history dating back to the 1850's, it is also very cosy and quiet and he found great peace here. It is ideally located for a short trip to the shops yet far enough away to enjoy all of the benefits of it's rural location. He would also spend many hours sitting in the garden watching the abundance of wildlife that regularly visits including red squirrels, woodpeckers, countless wild birds, frogs and newts in the pond.
It's been a pleasure for us all and a privilege to spend many happy times here and it is with a heavy heart and deep sadness we must now say goodbye to his home. But we are quite sure that the new owners will fall for it's charms and love this house as much as our father did.
